1. Our commitment
ARTATVA Ltd is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and vulnerable adults. This policy applies to all artists on the platform who work in settings involving children (under 18) or vulnerable adults, and to all bookings made through the platform for such settings.
2. Designated Safeguarding Lead
ARTATVA’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is responsible for this policy and for managing any safeguarding concerns. Contact: safeguarding@artatva.co.uk.
3. DBS checks
All artists working in regulated activity (school settings, care settings, or any setting involving unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable adults) must hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate with the relevant Barred List checks, processed via uCheck. Artists without a current Enhanced DBS are not permitted to accept bookings in regulated settings.
4. KCSIE alignment
For school bookings, ARTATVA operates in alignment with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) Part 1. Every school booking generates a compliance bundle that includes the artist’s DBS certificate reference, safeguarding statement acceptance, and the booking contract with safeguarding clauses.
5. Reporting a concern
If you have a safeguarding concern related to an ARTATVA booking, contact our DSL immediately at safeguarding@artatva.co.uk or call [placeholder phone number]. In an emergency, always contact the police (999) first.
6. Training
Artists accepting bookings in regulated settings are required to confirm they have completed appropriate safeguarding training within the last two years. ARTATVA may request evidence of training completion.
7. Review
This policy is reviewed annually or following any relevant changes to legislation or statutory guidance (including updates to KCSIE). The last updated date at the top of this page indicates the current version.
